A budget Nile cruise does not have to mean a basic boat. The most affordable way to cruise between Luxor and Aswan with us is on a five-star deluxe ship, from $790 per person in a triple cabin or $860 in a double for three nights, with full board, private sightseeing, an English-speaking guide and transfers included. If you also want Cairo and the Pyramids, our budget Cairo and Nile cruise packages travel south by sleeper train to keep the price down.
This page shows the lowest-priced ways to cruise the Nile with us, what you give up compared with more expensive ships, and how to bring the cost down further.

Fares are our published rates from September or October to April. Package prices from May to September are lower again: Ptah, for example, costs $1,200 in a double room in summer.
The route, the temples and the sightseeing are the same on every Nile cruise: Karnak and Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. On our budget options you still get:
For a step up without luxury prices, see our ultra deluxe cruises, from $990 per person for three nights.
Our guide to the best time for a Nile cruise explains the seasons, and the Luxor to Aswan cruise guide shows each day of the route.
If a cruise is not essential, a land-based trip can cost even less. Anubis covers Cairo and Luxor in six days by sleeper train from $860 per person in a double room. A cruise, though, is the easiest way to see Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan without extra transfers, and meals on board are included. Compare all our budget Egypt tours to decide.

Yes. Our lowest-priced cruises use five-star deluxe ships, and the budget Cairo and Nile cruise packages use the five-star La Sara. What you give up compared with luxury ships is space, suites and smaller guest numbers, not the sightseeing.
Our nine-day Ptah package, with Cairo, the sleeper train and a four-night cruise, costs from $1,250 per person in a double room from October to April, and from $1,200 from May to September.
Yes. Private sightseeing in Luxor and Aswan with an English-speaking guide is included on our cruises and packages, as listed in each itinerary.
The four-night cruise costs about $150 more per person but works out cheaper per night, and it adds a slower pace and the passage through the Esna lock.
From May to September our package prices are lower. Christmas, New Year and Easter are the most expensive and busiest weeks.
Yes. On most of our deluxe ships, three travelers sharing a triple cabin pay $790 each for three nights, against $860 each in a double cabin.
By the overnight first-class sleeper train, with dinner and breakfast on board. It saves a hotel night and the cost of a domestic flight.
International flights, your Egypt visa, drinks, optional tours such as Abu Simbel or a balloon flight, and tips for the crew and guide.
Yes. We can swap the cruise for an ultra deluxe or luxury ship, or replace the train with flights, and quote the difference.
