Tour Overview

The Renaissance Nile cruise is a five-star deluxe ship sailing between Luxor and Aswan, and its strongest feature is the view from your cabin: rooms have either a private balcony or large windows onto the river. Departures are on Saturday and Wednesday, for 3 or 4 nights, with full board and private guided sightseeing included.

Balcony or window: choosing your cabin

On a Nile cruise, much of the best scenery passes during sailing hours: farmland, palm groves, villages and desert hills sliding by in the late afternoon light. A balcony lets you sit outside with that view in private, which photographers and early risers tend to value. A large-window cabin keeps the same outlook from inside, a good option if you would rather spend your outdoor time on the sun deck. When booking, tell us which matters more to you and we will check what is available for your date.

How the sailing works

Guests are met at the airport and taken to the ship in a private air-conditioned car. In Luxor and Aswan, the visits are private tours with an English-speaking guide, and entrance fees for the sites on the itinerary are included. Luxor’s highlights, such as Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings, are typically covered at one end of the trip, with Aswan’s sights at the other. The ship moves between them over a mix of guided mornings and quiet afternoons on board.

Prices, September to April

A 3-night sailing costs $860 per person in a double cabin, $790 in a triple and $1,297 in a single. Four nights cost $1,012 per person double, $934 triple and $1,552 single. For a balcony-minded traveler, the 4-night option buys an extra full day of river views for about $150 more when sharing.

Included and excluded

  • Included: full-board accommodation, airport meet and greet, private transfers, guide, itinerary entrance fees, service charges and taxes.
  • Excluded: international flights, Egypt visa, optional tours, tips and personal extras.

Beyond the river

The Renaissance belongs to our deluxe Nile cruise range; you can also compare all Nile river cruises or read the guide to cruising from Luxor to Aswan. If you want Cairo, Abu Simbel or a beach stay around the cruise, we can plan a tailor-made trip.
