Sonesta Star Goddess Luxury Nile Cruise

Tour Overview
Every room on the Sonesta Star Goddess is a suite with its own balcony, which is unusual on the Nile and the main reason to book her. There are 33 suites, each themed on a classical composer, and the ship sails between Luxor and Aswan on 3-night and 4-night cruises leaving on Mondays and Fridays.
Why the balcony matters
Much of a Nile cruise is spent watching the banks slide by: palm groves, villages, sugar cane, the desert edge. On ships with picture windows you go up to the sun deck for that. Here you can step out of your own suite with a coffee at sunrise, which makes the quieter sailing hours as rewarding as the temple visits.
Prices, September to April
- 3 nights / 4 days: $1,960 per person in a double cabin, $2,880 single.
- 4 nights / 5 days: $2,140 per person in a double cabin, $3,240 single.
The difference between the two lengths is only $180 per person sharing, so the extra night is good value if your schedule allows it.
Good fit for
Couples, honeymooners and friends traveling together who want suite space at a price below the top of the luxury range. With only 33 suites, the ship stays small enough that boarding, dining and sightseeing never feel crowded.
On the river
A standard Luxor and Aswan cruise covers the temples of Luxor and Karnak, the West Bank, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan’s sights such as Philae. We confirm the exact visits for your sailing when you book. The fare includes airport meet and greet, private transfers, full board, private guided tours with an English-speaking guide, entrance fees to the listed sites, and taxes. Flights, the visa, optional tours and tips are excluded.
There is no cabin grade to upgrade into here, since every guest already has a balcony suite. The choices that change your trip are the sailing length and the departure day, so settle those first and we will check availability.
