Tour Overview
Historia is one of the more expensive ships we sell on the Luxor to Aswan route, and you pay for room: generous accommodation, calm public areas and a quiet atmosphere rather than a lively program. The Historia luxury Nile cruise departs on Mondays and Fridays on 3-night and 4-night sailings, full board, with private guided visits and entrance fees included.
Who should choose Historia
It suits couples, honeymooners and mature travelers who plan to spend real time on board between excursions, reading on deck or resting after an early start at the Valley of the Kings. Families who want a busy evening schedule or travelers on a tight budget will find better value elsewhere in our luxury fleet.
Fares, September to April
| Sailing | Double cabin | Single cabin |
|---|---|---|
| 3 nights / 4 days | $3,000 per person | $4,200 per person |
| 4 nights / 5 days | $3,800 per person | $5,800 per person |
The single cabin premium on the 4-night sailing is high ($2,000 above the double rate), so solo travelers often find the 3-night option the better buy. Two people sharing, who pay $800 each for the fourth night, get the strongest value on the longer cruise.
How the week fits together
Monday and Friday departures make it easy to plan Cairo around the cruise: arrive in Cairo for Giza and the museum, fly south for the boat, then fly home from Luxor or Aswan, or return to Cairo. On the river, the standard route takes in Luxor’s temples, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. The exact sightseeing list for your sailing is confirmed when booking.
Covered by the fare
Airport meet and greet, private air-conditioned transfers, all meals on board, private tours in Luxor and Aswan with an English-speaking guide, entrance fees to the sites on the program, and service charges and taxes. Flights, the visa, optional excursions and tips are extra.
