Tour Overview

The MS Medea Nile cruise suits travelers who like a classic-looking ship with a sociable top deck: polished wood, rich fabrics, lounges facing the river and a sun deck with a pool and bar. It sails between Luxor and Aswan on Mondays and Thursdays, on 3-night or 4-night itineraries, with full board, private guided tours and entrance fees included.

Days and evenings on the Medea

Days on a Nile cruise split between early temple visits and long, slow hours of sailing. The Medea is set up for the second half of that rhythm. The sun deck is the main gathering point, with the pool, a bar and lounging areas, and the indoor lounges have wide windows for the cooler evenings. Meals mix Egyptian and international dishes, and the ship hosts cultural entertainment after dinner, so it works well for couples and friends who enjoy a bit of social life rather than total quiet.

Picking a cabin category

Fares are set per person by occupancy. Three sharing a triple cabin is the lowest rate, which helps families with an older child or friends traveling together. Solo travelers pay a single supplement that brings the 3-night fare to $2,349.

Occupancy (per person) 3 nights / 4 days 4 nights / 5 days
Triple cabin $1,401 $1,700
Double cabin $1,476 $1,786
Single cabin $2,349 $2,860

These fares apply from September to April. For May to August dates, ask us for a quote.

Included in the fare

You get full-board meals on the ship, private sightseeing in Luxor and Aswan with an English-speaking guide, temple entrance fees for the program, airport meet and greet, private air-conditioned transfers, and service charges and taxes. Flights to Egypt, visas, optional excursions and tips are extra.

Medea add-ons in Luxor and Aswan

The Luxor end of the route is where the biggest sites cluster, from Karnak to the Valley of the Kings, so an extra hotel night there is worth considering. In Aswan, our Aswan excursions include a felucca sail and a Nubian village visit. For broader context, read the Luxor to Aswan cruise guide, browse other ultra deluxe ships, or let us plan a tailor-made trip that adds Cairo.
