The Grand Egypt Golf is a 10 day Egypt golf tour with a Nile cruise: four nights sailing from Luxor to Aswan, then five nights at the Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel with three 18-hole rounds on Cairo courses. It is designed for golfers who also want the temples, and it leaves room for a partner who does not play.
Who it is designed for
Keen golfers usually have to choose between a resort week and a sightseeing trip. This program puts the history first, while energy is high, and saves the golf for the second half. Non-golfers are not left idle: on each golf day the itinerary allows optional sightseeing, shopping or market visits, so couples with different interests can split the day and meet in the evening.
The courses and where you stay
- Dreamland Golf Club: first round, followed by free time at the Mall of Egypt.
- Allegria Golf Club: second round, with the Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids that evening.
- Katameya Dunes Golf Club: final round on departure day, before an evening airport transfer.
On the river you sail aboard the Steigenberger Legacy with breakfast, lunch and dinner. In Cairo the base is the Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel with breakfast. Green fees, club hire and buggies are not itemized in the published inclusions, so check with us how each round is covered before you book.

Between October and April the package costs $2,890 per person in a double room, $2,210 in a triple and $3,990 for a single traveler. From May to September it is $2,790 double, $2,110 triple and $3,790 single. International flights, the visa and tips are extra.
Getting the most from the museum day
Day 9 can be shaped around your interests: the Grand Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization or the old Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. For a first visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, with the Tutankhamun collection, is the natural pick. Read up beforehand on the Valley of the Kings and Philae so the cruise days carry more meaning.
Packing for golf and temples
Bring your own clubs if you prefer them, or ask us about rental when you book. Light layers work for early tee times in winter, and a hat and sunscreen are essential on both the fairways and the West Bank, where there is little shade.

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by a Delta Tours Egypt representative through airport formalities before being privately escorted to your airport hotel.
The remainder of the day is at leisure. Optional excursions can be arranged depending on your arrival time.

Early in the morning, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met and escorted to your Nile cruise for embarkation.
After lunch on board, enjoy a guided exploration of Luxor’s East Bank, beginning with the magnificent Temple of Karnak, one of the largest religious complexes ever built. Continue to the elegant Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak by a ceremonial avenue of sphinxes.
