A ship for travelers who notice design

The Miriam’s refit leans on Egyptian color and materials rather than generic hotel styling, so the interiors feel connected to the temples you visit each morning. The ship also describes a commitment to eco-conscious travel, which may matter if you are weighing the environmental side of a river cruise. Expect a calm, warm atmosphere suited to couples and older travelers more than party groups.

How the fares compare

Two sharing a double pay $1,476 each for 3 nights or $1,786 each for 4 nights. A triple is $1,401 or $1,700 per person, and a single is $2,348 or $2,860. These match the MS Medea almost to the dollar, so the choice between the two comes down to style: the Miriam for its refreshed Egyptian-inspired interiors, the Medea for its classic wood-paneled look and pool deck. Summer fares are quoted on request.

What your Miriam fare buys

The fare covers airport meet and greet, private air-conditioned transfers, full-board meals, private sightseeing in Luxor and Aswan, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees and service charges and taxes. International flights, visas, optional tours and tips are excluded.

Miriam plus Philae, Abu Simbel or Cairo

A cruise between Luxor and Aswan passes Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt, and many guests add a morning at Philae or a trip south to Abu Simbel by road. To combine the cruise with Cairo and the pyramids, see our luxury Egypt tours or ask for a tailor-made plan. More ships are listed under ultra deluxe Nile cruises.
