The MS Jaz Senator Nile cruise is the choice for travelers who want the Luxor to Aswan river journey with a suite rather than a standard cabin: it is the only all-suite ship in the Jaz fleet. Sailings leave on Mondays and Thursdays, with 3-night and 4-night options, and the fare covers full-board meals, private guided sightseeing and entrance fees to the listed sites.
Why an all-suite ship changes the trip
On most Nile ships the cabin is a place to sleep between temple visits. On the Jaz Senator every guest is in a suite, so there is more room to spread out during the hot middle hours, when the ship is often moving and the riverbanks are worth watching from inside. The ship’s own description compares the feel to a private yacht, and it is also offered for private charters, which makes it a sensible fit for family reunions, milestone trips or small groups who want the whole vessel.

Is the 4-night Senator worth it?
The extra night costs about $275 more per person in a double. It buys a slower pace and more hours on deck between the riverside temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo. If your Egypt trip is short, the 3-night sailing still covers the core of the route between Luxor and Aswan.

On arrival, you will be met and escorted to your Nile cruise for embarkation.
Begin your Aswan sightseeing with a visit to the impressive High Dam, a landmark of modern Egyptian engineering. Continue by boat to Agilkia Island to explore the exquisite Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and renowned for its beautifully preserved sanctuaries and reliefs.
