Tour Itinerary
Early in the morning, you will be accompanied by your private Egyptologist for a full-day exploration of Luxor’s most celebrated sites.
Begin on the West Bank with a visit to the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs, where beautifully decorated tombs were carved deep into the desert hills. Continue to the striking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece set against the cliffs of the Theban mountains, and pause at the monumental Colossi of Memnon, standing sentinel over the plain for more than three millennia.
In the afternoon, cross to Luxor’s East Bank to explore the vast Temple of Karnak, a magnificent complex dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, built over centuries by successive pharaohs. Conclude with a visit to the elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated by history and once connected to Karnak by a ceremonial avenue of sphinxes.
Return to your hotel in Luxor at the end of the day.
