Tour Itinerary

Meet at Cairo airport upon arrival by a Delta Tours Egypt representative who will assist you through airport customs and formalities. You will be escorted immediately to your hotel by an air-conditioned modern fleet. Meet with your tour guide and tour manager to review your holiday itinerary and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

After breakfast, set out with your private Egyptologist for an immersive introduction to ancient Cairo. Travel to the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos—an enduring testament to the genius of ancient engineering and the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Stand before the enigmatic Great Sphinx, its lion’s body and royal visage guarding the necropolis for millennia.

Continue to Saqqara, Egypt’s oldest royal burial ground and a vast archaeological landscape of pyramids and tombs. Discover the Step Pyramid of Djoser, widely regarded as the first monumental stone structure ever built and a defining moment in the history of architecture.

After breakfast, explore Cairo’s layered history. visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, a world-class cultural landmark showcasing the finest collection of ancient Egyptian art ever assembled. Explore its vast galleries, culminating in the breathtaking treasures of Tutankhamun, including his iconic solid-gold funerary mask—one of the most celebrated masterpieces in human history

After breakfast, visit the Citadel of Saladin, crowned by the elegant Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, offering panoramic views over the city. Proceed to Old Cairo, a unique quarter where Egypt’s religious heritage unfolds within walking distance. Visit the Hanging Church, the historic Ben Ezra Synagogue, and one of the oldest mosques in Africa, reflecting centuries of spiritual coexistence.

In the late afternoon, wander through Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s iconic bazaar, renowned for its fine gold and silver jewelry and time-honored craftsmanship.

Return to your hotel, enriched by a day of cultural depth and quiet discovery.

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your short flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met by your private Egyptologist and begin your introduction to this historic city on the Nile.

Visit the Luxor Museum, one of Egypt’s finest museums, showcasing a carefully curated collection of masterpieces from the New Kingdom. The museum’s elegant galleries display remarkable statues, reliefs, and artifacts discovered in the temples and tombs of Luxor, offering a deeper understanding of the ancient city once known as Thebes.

After breakfast,  explore Luxor’s East Bank, home to some of the most extraordinary monuments of the ancient world. Visit the majestic Karnak Temple, a vast ceremonial complex built and expanded over centuries, then continue to Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak by a grand avenue of ram-headed sphinxes.

 

Together, these masterpieces embody Luxor’s legacy as the world’s greatest open-air museum and one of humanity’s most significant archaeological landscapes.

After breakfast,  visit to Luxor’s West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs, followed by the dramatic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Pause at the monumental Colossi of Memnon, standing watch over the Theban plain for millennia.

After breakfast, depart Luxor and travel south toward Aswan, following one of the most scenic stretches of the Nile Valley. Along the way, pause to see the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two deities—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Perched above the Nile, the temple offers beautiful views over the river and surrounding countryside.

Continue your journey through traditional villages and palm-lined landscapes as the Nile winds through Upper Egypt.

Arrive in Aswan in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this charming Nile-side city.

Start Aswan sightseeing with a visit to the impressive High Dam, a landmark of modern Egyptian engineering. Continue by boat to Agilkia Island to explore the exquisite Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and renowned for its beautifully preserved sanctuaries and reliefs.

After breakfast, transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met and privately escorted to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

Overnight at Le Meridien Cairo Airport

Optional Experience:
For those wishing to discover one of Egypt’s most extraordinary monuments, an early morning excursion to the legendary Temples of Abu Simbel can be arranged before your departure. Carved into the cliffs overlooking Lake Nasser, the monumental temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari stand among the most remarkable achievements of ancient Egyptian architecture. After the visit, return to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo.
