Tour Overview
Booking the Nour El Nil Dahabiya means reserving a five-night cruise from Esna to Aswan that sails every Monday, at $3,500 per person in a double cabin or $6,500 per person in a single cabin. Nour El Nil is a traditional luxury dahabiya with a small number of guests and personal service, built for travelers who want the Nile at sailing pace rather than on a large ship.

The Route at Sailing Pace
Esna sits south of Luxor, and the river from there to Aswan passes Edfu and Kom Ombo. Five nights over this stretch leaves time for quiet moorings that large ships cannot use. Read our Nile cruise guide for how dahabiyas and cruise ships differ, and our Aswan travel guide for the end of the journey.
Extending the Trip
Luxor before boarding and Cairo or Abu Simbel after Aswan are the usual additions. Compare Nour El Nil with the other boats in our dahabiya fleet, browse all Nile river cruises, or ask for a tailor-made plan built around your sailing date.
