Tour Overview

The MS Farida Nile cruise links Luxor and Aswan in five-star comfort, and it slots neatly into a wider Egypt trip thanks to Monday and Friday departures on 3-night or 4-night sailings. The fare includes full board, private guided sightseeing with an English-speaking guide, and entrance fees for the sites on the itinerary.

Fitting Farida into a longer Egypt trip

Few visitors fly to Egypt for a cruise alone. More often, Farida is the southern half of a journey that starts in Cairo with the pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Two fixed weekly departures make the planning straightforward: count back from Monday or Friday and you know how many nights you have in Cairo.

Planning it in four steps

  1. Choose 3 or 4 nights. On most Luxor-Aswan ships the longer sailing starts in Luxor and the shorter one in Aswan; we confirm the direction for your date.
  2. Pick a cabin type: triple, double or single.
  3. Decide what comes before and after: Cairo, an Abu Simbel trip by road from Aswan, or a few beach days.
  4. Book the internal flights or train to reach the ship; we meet you on arrival and handle the private transfer.

Fares on MS Farida

From September to April, 3 nights cost $860 per person in a double cabin, $790 in a triple and $1,297 in a single. Four nights cost $1,012 double, $934 triple and $1,552 single. Fares for the summer months are quoted for your dates.

On board and ashore

Farida offers a relaxed setting with attentive service and good river views from its public spaces. Ashore, the sightseeing is private rather than in a mixed group, and Luxor visits typically include Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. Service charges and taxes are covered; international flights, the visa, optional tours and tips are not.
