Hurghada and Cairo are far apart by road, but a short domestic flight puts the capital within reach in a single day. This private tour uses return flights so you can spend your time at the sites rather than on the highway.
The day starts at Giza with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. These monuments date to Egypt’s Old Kingdom, more than 4,500 years ago. Close by, the Grand Egyptian Museum displays the complete Tutankhamun collection.
After lunch comes the Egyptian Museum in central Cairo, with its long-standing collection of ancient objects. The day ends in the old city, along Al-Muizz Street and in Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar, where you can browse spices, lamps and handcrafts.
A Private Day with Your Own Egyptologist
A private Egyptologist guide stays with you all day and explains the history behind each site. All transfers are in a private air-conditioned vehicle, and entrance fees to the Cairo sights are covered. Lunch is served at a restaurant with a view of the Pyramids or the Nile.
The trip suits travelers on a Red Sea holiday who do not want to miss the Pyramids. It also works for families and small groups who prefer their own guide. Expect an early start and a late return, and wear comfortable walking shoes.
Your Hurghada hotel pickup and return are included, along with mineral water and soft drinks in the vehicle. Tips and extras outside the program are not covered. Delta Tours Egypt is licensed by Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism (licence No. 121). This Cairo day trip by plane costs from $615 per person, varying by season and group size.
Children pay according to the Delta Tours child policy shown below: ages 6 to 11 pay 50% of the adult price for the same group size and season.

Tour Itinerary
Your morning begins with a transfer from your Hurghada hotel to Hurghada Airport for the flight to Cairo. Your private Egyptologist meets you on arrival, and a private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to Giza.
At the Giza Pyramids complex you see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. You then visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, linked to the king’s funeral rites. Next is the Grand Egyptian Museum beside the plateau, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection and an 11-meter statue of Ramses II.
Lunch is served at a restaurant with a Pyramids or Nile view. In the afternoon you tour the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. You then walk Al-Muizz Street, a lane of medieval Islamic buildings, before ending at Khan El Khalili bazaar.
From the bazaar you are driven to Cairo Airport for the flight back to Hurghada, followed by the transfer to your hotel.
