Tour Overview

This Sharm El Sheikh budget holiday is a simple 5-day, 4-night stay at a good-value resort at the southern tip of Sinai. Airport transfers are arranged for you, the days are mostly free for the beach and the reef, and you can add a snorkeling boat trip to Ras Mohammed or a desert dinner. Prices start from $378 per person, sharing a double or twin room.

What you can do

Sharm El Sheikh sits on the Red Sea, with clear water and coral reefs close to shore and sunshine for most of the year. Many resorts have a house reef you can snorkel straight from the beach, so even a free day can be spent watching fish. Your resort and meal plan are confirmed with your dates.

Two outings are offered as optional extras. The first is a boat trip to snorkel in Ras Mohammed National Park, a protected area at the very tip of the peninsula; see our Ras Mohammed snorkeling trip from Sharm El Sheikh. The second is an evening Bedouin dinner in the desert. If you prefer to stay dry, the Sharm El Sheikh semi-submarine trip shows the reef through glass windows.

How the days work

On day one our representative meets you at Sharm El Sheikh airport and takes you to your resort. Day two is a free beach day. Day three is free, or you can join the Ras Mohammed boat trip. Day four is free, with the option of a Bedouin dinner in the desert that evening. On day five you have breakfast and transfer to the airport.

Who this trip suits

It suits couples, friends and families who want a relaxed, low-cost beach break and like to choose their own pace. It also works as a few days of rest at the end of a longer tour. Compare it with our other Egypt budget tours, or see all Sinai tours. For an overview of the coast, read the Red Sea Egypt travel guide.

Tour Itinerary

When you land at Sharm El Sheikh airport, our representative meets you and helps with your luggage. You are then driven to your resort and checked in for four nights.

The rest of the day is free. Take a first swim, find your way around the resort or simply rest after the journey. The resort and its meal plan are the ones confirmed in your final quote for your travel dates.

Today is completely free for the beach. Spend the hours on a sun lounger, swim in the sea or put on a mask and snorkel to look at the house reef if your resort has one.

Red Sea reefs near Sharm are home to many colorful fish, and you can often see them in shallow water close to shore. Use reef-safe sunscreen and avoid standing on the coral.

You can keep this day free at the resort, or join an optional boat trip to snorkel in Ras Mohammed National Park, a protected marine area at the southern tip of Sinai.

The boat trip is not included in the package price; ask us for the cost when you book, or add it after you arrive. If you stay at the resort, the day is yours to spend on the beach or by the pool.

Another free day at the resort lets you rest or return to the reef. In the evening there is an optional outing into the desert for a Bedouin dinner.

This evening trip is not included in the package price, so let us know if you would like to join and we will confirm the cost. Bring a light layer, as the desert can feel cooler after sunset.

Have breakfast at your resort and check out. Our team then drives you to Sharm El Sheikh airport for your flight home or on to your next stop.

If your flight leaves late in the day, ask us about storing your bags or a late check-out when you book. Both depend on the resort and are not part of the standard package.

Hint: Your journey should be as unique as you are. Share your ideas, and we'll craft a bespoke itinerary around your preferences.
