Tour Overview
Nuun and Nuut are a pair of dahabiyas, traditional Nile sailing boats, that travel the river together. Delta Tours Egypt, a family-run Cairo agency in business since 1974 with Ministry of Tourism licence No. 121, offers them on three routes. Both boats can also be chartered privately on selected dates, on any of the same routes.
The four-night trip sails upstream from Luxor to Aswan every Monday. It begins on Luxor’s West Bank with the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Later stops include El Kab, Edfu, a barbecue dinner on Ramadi Island, the quarries of Gebel el-Silsila, Kom Ombo and a Nubian village. On the last morning you visit Abu Simbel and Philae before your flight.
Two shorter routes from Aswan
A three-night trip leaves Aswan every Friday and sails downstream to Luxor. It covers Kom Ombo, Edfu, Esna Temple and the Esna lock, and ends with the Valley of the Kings and Karnak. A second three-night route runs from Aswan to Esna. It swaps Luxor for a full day at Gebel el-Silsila, sunset tea on Fawaza Island and a visit to El Kab.
All three routes are full board, with tea and coffee at meals, free minibar soft drinks and an Egyptologist on every excursion. Transfers, entrance fees between Luxor and Aswan, service charges and taxes are included. These boats suit families and friends who want to travel together, and a full charter keeps both boats for your group alone.
Fares for Nuun and Nuut are quoted on request, as they depend on your dates, your cabin or charter choice and the season. Send us your travel dates and group size, and we will reply with availability and a quote.
