Tour Overview

The Iberotel Crown Empress cruises the Nile between Luxor and Aswan on two fixed weekly schedules. Delta Tours Egypt books both, with full board and guided visits at the main temples along the way. A licensed English-speaking Egyptologist leads a shared group of about 15 to 20 guests.

The four-night cruise leaves Luxor every Monday. Day one covers Karnak and Luxor Temple. On Tuesday you see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon before the ship heads south. Wednesday takes you to Edfu Temple by horse-drawn carriage, then to Kom Ombo. Thursday is spent in Aswan, and Friday’s plan lists Abu Simbel before your flight.

The three-night cruise leaves Aswan every Friday and covers the same stretch heading north. It starts with the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae, and Abu Simbel is offered as an option on day two. Kom Ombo, Edfu and both banks of Luxor follow.

The package covers your cabin, meals, afternoon tea on sailing days, and transfers to and from airports or railway stations. Entrance to the standard sites is included, and the regular Valley of the Kings ticket covers three tombs. The Edfu carriage, the motorboat to Philae and bottled water on excursions are also covered. Drinks on board, the visa, flights and extra-ticket tombs such as Tutankhamun’s are not.

Who this cruise suits

It suits travelers who want an expert explaining each site and a clear plan for every day. The Monday sailing gives more time in Aswan, while the Friday sailing fits a shorter break. The fare is quoted on request, based on your dates, cabin and the season. Send us your travel dates and we will prepare a quote.
