1. Our Role
Delta Tours Egypt is an Egyptian travel company that designs and arranges private tours, group tours, accommodation, Nile cruises, transportation, domestic flights, guides, excursions, entrance tickets, and other travel services.
Some services are provided directly by us, while others are supplied by independent third parties, including airlines, hotels, cruise companies, transport providers, restaurants, guides, attraction authorities, and activity operators. Their own terms, safety rules, schedules, and cancellation policies may also apply to your booking.
We carefully select and coordinate suppliers, but we do not control their day-to-day operations. Nothing in these terms removes any right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
2. Quotations and Website Prices
Prices shown on our website are starting or indicative prices unless expressly described as final. Your final price depends on factors including travel dates, availability, number of travelers, room type, hotel and cruise category, transport, domestic flights, entrance tickets, requested upgrades, and seasonal supplements.
A quotation is not a confirmed reservation. Unless a quotation states otherwise, all services remain subject to availability and price change until we receive the required payment and issue written confirmation.
Your written quotation or booking confirmation will identify the services included in your trip. If there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and a specific written condition clearly stated in your quotation or confirmation, the specific condition will apply to that booking.
Prices are normally quoted per person in US dollars unless another currency or pricing basis is stated. Currency-conversion charges, foreign transaction fees, transfer fees, intermediary bank charges, and card-issuer fees are the traveler’s responsibility unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
3. Making a Booking
The lead traveler must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for:
- providing accurate information for every traveler;
- ensuring that all travelers understand and accept the booking conditions;
- checking the quotation, itinerary, names, dates, services, and prices before payment;
- making payments by the stated deadlines; and
- sharing our confirmations, travel documents, and important updates with the group.
To arrange your booking, we may require each traveler’s full name exactly as shown in the passport, nationality, date of birth, passport details, arrival and departure information, rooming requirements, and other details reasonably necessary for the services requested.
A booking becomes binding only after we receive the required deposit or full payment and issue written confirmation. An automated payment receipt alone does not confirm the availability of any travel service.
Please review every confirmation as soon as you receive it. Tell us immediately if any name, date, flight, room type, or other detail is incorrect. Costs resulting from inaccurate information supplied by a traveler, or from a correction requested after tickets or reservations have been issued, must be paid by the traveler.
4. Deposits and Payment
Unless your quotation states otherwise, a deposit of 50% of the total booking price is required to confirm a tailor-made tour package. A different deposit may apply to day tours, shore excursions, large groups, peak-season travel, international or domestic flights, luxury hotels, Nile cruises, special events, exclusive access, or other services requiring immediate or non-refundable payment.
The remaining balance must be paid by the date stated in your quotation or confirmation. Depending on the booking, the balance may be due before arrival or upon arrival in Egypt. If no different date is stated, the remaining balance is due upon arrival in Egypt and before the commencement of the booked services.
Bookings made within 30 days of arrival may require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Payment may be made using the methods offered in your invoice or payment instructions. A booking is not considered paid until cleared funds are received. You are responsible for ensuring that the full invoiced amount reaches us after any bank, payment-platform, or intermediary charges.
If payment is not received by the deadline, we may treat the booking as canceled by the traveler and apply the cancellation terms below. We will make reasonable efforts to contact the lead traveler before releasing confirmed services, but we are not responsible for price increases or lost availability caused by late payment.
5. Card Payments, Payment Links, and Fraud Prevention
Card and online payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. Additional processing charges will apply only when disclosed before payment.
The cardholder must be authorized to use the payment method. We may request identification, a signed authorization, or other reasonable verification before accepting or applying a payment. We may pause or decline a transaction where fraud, unauthorized use, sanctions, or other security concerns are reasonably suspected.
A traveler should contact us promptly if a payment appears incorrect. Starting a chargeback for a valid, authorized booking without first allowing us a reasonable opportunity to investigate does not cancel the booking or remove any amount properly due under these terms.
6. What Your Price Includes
Only items expressly listed as included in your confirmed itinerary or invoice form part of your booking. Depending on the selected program, inclusions may include accommodation, meals, private transportation, airport assistance, licensed guides, sightseeing, entrance fees, domestic transport, or Nile cruise services.
Descriptions such as bed and breakfast, half board, full board, and all-inclusive are governed by the relevant hotel or cruise provider’s service rules. Beverages, premium menus, room service, minibar items, special restaurants, and other extras are not included unless expressly stated.
7. What Is Not Included
Unless expressly included in writing, the price does not cover:
- international flights;
- entry visas, passport costs, or immigration fees;
- travel, medical, cancellation, or baggage insurance;
- optional tours and activities;
- meals, drinks, and services not listed as included;
- gratuities;
- excess baggage or special-equipment charges;
- personal purchases and hotel extras;
- medical services or medications;
- costs resulting from flight disruption, missed connections, or circumstances outside our control; or
- any service arranged directly by the traveler with another provider.
8. Accommodation and Nile Cruises
Hotel and cruise classifications are based on the standards and official ratings used in the destination. These may differ from standards in the traveler’s home country.
Room, bedding, connecting-room, floor, view, cabin-deck, smoking, dietary, and accessibility preferences are requests unless we expressly confirm them as guaranteed. King beds, twin beds, triple rooms, adjoining rooms, and specific cabin locations remain subject to supplier availability.
Standard check-in and check-out times are set by each property. Early check-in, late check-out, room upgrades, and additional nights may require an extra charge and cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
If a confirmed hotel or cruise becomes unavailable, we may provide a suitable alternative of a similar or higher category. If only a lower-category alternative is reasonably available and you accept it, we will refund the applicable difference in the contracted cost. Changes in vessel, docking location, sailing order, or sightseeing sequence may occur because of navigation conditions, river traffic, locks, weather, government directions, or operational requirements.
9. Flights and Other Transportation
Airlines, railways, cruise operators, and other carriers control their own schedules, check-in rules, baggage allowances, seating, and operational decisions. Departure times and flight numbers may change after booking.
You must verify your international and domestic travel schedule before departure, arrive for check-in on time, and comply with the carrier’s requirements. Delta Tours Egypt is not responsible for a traveler’s missed service caused by late arrival, an incorrect document, denied boarding, excess baggage, or failure to follow a carrier’s instructions.
If transportation is delayed or canceled, we will provide reasonable assistance with services booked through us. Any refund, replacement, or compensation relating to the carrier is subject to the carrier’s rules and applicable law. Additional accommodation, transport, meals, or rebooking costs are the traveler’s responsibility unless recoverable from the responsible provider or covered by insurance.
Vehicles are selected according to the confirmed group size and itinerary. Seat belts, air conditioning, and other facilities may vary by vehicle and local operating conditions.
10. Changes Requested by the Traveler
Requests to change a confirmed booking must be made in writing by the lead traveler. We will try to accommodate the request but cannot guarantee that a change will be possible.
The traveler must pay:
- any price difference for the revised services;
- supplier amendment or cancellation charges;
- airline, cruise, hotel, permit, or ticket reissue fees; and
- a reasonable administrative charge where applicable and disclosed.
Reducing the number of travelers may increase the per-person price for the remaining guests. A material change of destination, dates, or traveler identity may be treated as a cancellation and new booking.
Most airline tickets and certain permits, named entrance tickets, hotels, cruises, and special services do not allow a passenger-name change. Where a name change is permitted, all related costs are payable by the traveler.
11. Cancellation by the Traveler
All cancellations must be sent to us in writing by the lead traveler. A cancellation takes effect when we receive it during our normal business hours in Egypt.
Unless your quotation, confirmation, or a supplier’s stricter terms state otherwise, the following cancellation charges apply to the canceled portion of the booking:
| Notice received before the first service date | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| 61 days or more | 25% of the total booking price |
| 31–60 days | 50% of the total booking price |
| 15–30 days | 75% of the total booking price |
| 14 days or fewer, or no-show | 100% of the total booking price |
In every case, the minimum charge will be any non-refundable or higher amount already charged or contractually required by airlines, hotels, cruises, ticketing authorities, payment providers, and other suppliers. Peak-season trips, including Christmas, New Year, Easter, and other high-demand periods, may have stricter conditions up to 100% non-refundable once confirmed. Any such condition will be stated in the quotation or confirmation where known.
No refund is due for a no-show or for unused accommodation, meals, transportation, sightseeing, entrance ticket, flight, cruise night, or other service that the traveler voluntarily misses after the trip begins.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation and interruption for the traveler’s circumstances.
12. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be calculated after deducting the applicable cancellation charges, non-refundable supplier costs, services already provided, payment-processing costs that cannot be recovered, and any amount otherwise due under the booking.
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on suppliers, banks, card networks, and payment providers. We will process the refund within a reasonable period after the refundable amount has been established, but we cannot control the time a bank or payment provider takes to credit the traveler’s account.
Exchange-rate movements may mean the amount received in the traveler’s currency differs from the amount originally paid. We are not responsible for that difference or for external bank charges.
13. Changes or Cancellation by Delta Tours Egypt
Travel arrangements sometimes require changes. We may alter the order or timing of sightseeing, transportation, accommodation, guides, or other services where reasonably necessary for safety, availability, supplier operations, site closures, government requirements, traffic, weather, navigation, or the proper delivery of the itinerary.
For a minor change, we will provide a reasonably comparable service where possible. Examples may include a schedule adjustment, change of guide or vehicle, revised sightseeing order, or a comparable hotel, cruise, or flight.
If, before departure, we make a material change to a principal service or cancel the booking for reasons within our reasonable control, we will offer, where reasonably available:
- an alternative arrangement of comparable value;
- a lower-value alternative plus a refund of the relevant price difference; or
- a refund of the amount paid for the affected service that we can recover or that is legally refundable.
We are not required to refund services already properly provided. We may cancel a booking if the traveler fails to pay on time, supplies materially false information, behaves in a threatening or unlawful manner, or does not satisfy a necessary travel requirement.
14. Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances
“Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances” means events beyond the reasonable control of Delta Tours Egypt or the relevant supplier whose consequences could not reasonably have been avoided. Examples include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic measures, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disruption, border closure, government action, airspace restriction, power or communications failure, navigation interruption, attraction closure, and major transportation disruption.
If such an event affects your trip, we will provide reasonable assistance and try to rearrange the affected services. Refunds and credits will depend on applicable law and the terms and amounts recoverable from the relevant suppliers. The traveler remains responsible for additional costs that are not recoverable or covered by insurance, including extra accommodation, meals, transportation, visa costs, or replacement flights.
15. Passports, Visas, and Entry Requirements
Each traveler is responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport, visa, permit, vaccination certificate, consent for a minor, and any other document required for the complete journey. Names provided to us must match the travel documents exactly.
Entry, transit, health, and passport-validity rules vary by nationality and can change without notice. Any information we provide is general assistance only. Travelers must verify the requirements that apply to them with the relevant embassy, consulate, immigration authority, airline, and official government source in sufficient time before travel.
We are not responsible if a traveler is refused a visa, entry, transit, or boarding, or cannot use a service because of missing, invalid, damaged, expired, or inconsistent documentation. The booking’s normal cancellation terms will apply.
16. Health, Fitness, and Medical Needs
Travelers are responsible for determining whether they are medically and physically fit for the itinerary. Egypt tours may involve heat, uneven surfaces, stairs, boats, long drives, walking, desert conditions, and sites with limited accessibility.
Before confirmation, please tell us about any mobility requirement, disability, allergy, pregnancy, medical condition, or other need that may affect the arrangements or the safety of any traveler. We will treat this information respectfully and use it to assess and arrange reasonable assistance. We may request further information where reasonably necessary, and some arrangements may involve an additional cost.
We do not provide medical advice. Travelers should consult an appropriate medical professional regarding vaccinations, medication, fitness to travel, and health precautions. Essential medication must be carried in accordance with airline and border rules.
If we or a supplier cannot safely or reasonably provide a requested service after considering the available information, we will explain the limitation before confirming where possible.
17. Special Requests, Dietary Requirements, and Accessibility
Please make special requests before booking and confirm them in writing. We will pass reasonable requests to the relevant suppliers, but a request is not guaranteed unless we expressly confirm it as part of the booking.
Travelers with serious allergies must tell us before confirmation and speak directly with the relevant service staff during the trip. Kitchens and dining facilities may handle common allergens, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless the supplier expressly provides that guarantee.
Some archaeological sites, vessels, historic properties, and remote locations have limited accessibility. We will advise and adapt the itinerary where reasonably possible when accurate requirements are provided in advance.
18. Children and Minors
Travelers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless a different arrangement has been expressly approved in writing. The responsible adult must ensure the minor is appropriately supervised and has all required passports, visas, birth certificates, permissions, and parental or guardian consent documents.
Child prices, infant policies, extra beds, cots, and age limits vary by supplier. A child’s age on the travel date must be provided accurately. Any additional cost caused by incorrect age information is payable by the traveler.
19. Traveler Conduct
Travelers must comply with local law, site rules, supplier instructions, cultural requirements, and reasonable safety directions from our representatives and guides. Travelers must behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, local communities, monuments, and property.
We or a supplier may refuse or terminate a service, without refund, where a traveler’s conduct is unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, persistently disruptive, unsafe, damaging to property, or seriously affects another person’s enjoyment or welfare. The traveler is responsible for damage, loss, fines, or costs caused by their conduct.
Smoking, alcohol, photography, drones, and dress may be restricted by law or by the rules of a hotel, cruise, vehicle, religious place, archaeological site, or other venue.
20. Optional and Independently Booked Activities
An optional excursion or activity is part of your contract with us only if it is listed in our written confirmation. Services purchased directly from a guide, hotel, cruise, local vendor, online platform, or other third party are separate contracts between the traveler and that provider, even if our team provides general information or assistance.
We are not responsible for the performance, safety, price, cancellation, or quality of an independently booked service. Adventure activities may carry additional risks and may require the traveler to accept the operator’s own terms or waiver.
21. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required for certain bookings. The policy should be suitable for the traveler’s age, health, itinerary, activities, and personal circumstances and should, where available, cover medical care, emergency evacuation and repatriation, cancellation, trip interruption, supplier failure, baggage, delays, and missed departures.
Travelers are responsible for reading the policy, disclosing relevant conditions to the insurer, and carrying the insurer’s emergency contact details. Delta Tours Egypt is not responsible for an insurer’s coverage decision.
22. Baggage and Personal Belongings
Travelers are responsible for their baggage, passports, money, electronics, jewelry, and other personal belongings. Baggage allowances vary between international flights, Egyptian domestic flights, and other transport services. Travelers must check the allowance applicable to every journey and pay any excess or special-item charge.
Loss, delay, theft, or damage should be reported immediately to the relevant carrier, hotel, cruise operator, local authority, and insurer. We will provide reasonable assistance but do not accept responsibility for personal belongings except to the extent that loss is directly caused by our negligence and liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
23. Complaints and Assistance During Travel
If a problem arises, tell your guide, representative, supplier, or Delta Tours Egypt contact immediately so there is a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct it during the trip. Keeping silent until after departure may limit the possibility of an effective solution.
If the matter is not resolved locally, send a written complaint through our official contact channels as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 14 days after the final service. Include the booking reference, a clear description, relevant dates, supporting receipts, photographs where appropriate, and the resolution requested.
We will acknowledge and investigate the complaint in good faith. Nothing in this section limits a mandatory legal right or deadline.
24. Our Responsibility and Limitation of Liability
We are responsible for using reasonable care in selecting, booking, and coordinating the travel services that we agree to provide. If a service is not performed as confirmed because of our negligence, we will seek an appropriate remedy, which may include re-performance, an alternative service, or a proportionate refund, subject to applicable law and the circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, delay, or expense caused by:
- the traveler’s own act, omission, health condition, or failure to follow instructions;
- an unrelated third party whose service was not booked through us;
- unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances;
- an inherent risk of an activity that was properly disclosed;
- a carrier or supplier acting outside the services we agreed to arrange; or
- indirect, consequential, business, or loss-of-enjoyment claims that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.
Where an international convention or a carrier’s applicable terms limit the compensation available for a service, the same limits may apply to our liability in connection with that service. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
25. Photos and Marketing
We may ask to photograph or record travelers during a tour. Participation is voluntary. We will request consent before using an identifiable traveler’s image for our website, social media, advertising, or other marketing. A traveler may decline without affecting the travel service.
Where a traveler gives consent, they may later contact us to request that we stop future use of the image. This may not require us to withdraw material already lawfully printed, published, or produced before the request was received.
Photography or recording by other travelers and members of the public is outside our control.
26. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and use personal information as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, arrange and administer bookings, process payments, meet legal obligations, protect safety, and communicate with travelers.
To deliver a booking, we may share necessary information with hotels, cruise companies, airlines, transport providers, guides, payment providers, government authorities, and other relevant suppliers, including parties located outside the traveler’s home country.
Our separate Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, cookies, retention, security, and privacy requests. These Terms & Conditions should be read together with that policy.
27. Website Content and Intellectual Property
Website descriptions, itineraries, maps, photographs, videos, designs, logos, and written materials are owned by Delta Tours Egypt or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. They may not be copied, republished, sold, or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where applicable law allows.
Website content is provided for general information. Images may be illustrative, and conditions, facilities, opening hours, entrance rules, and supplier services may change after publication.
28. Notices and Electronic Communication
Booking documents, invoices, approvals, amendments, and other notices may be sent electronically using the email address, messaging number, or other contact details provided by the lead traveler. The traveler is responsible for monitoring those channels and telling us promptly if the details change.
Written approval through email or an agreed messaging channel may be treated as authorization to proceed with a booking or change. We may retain relevant communications as part of the booking record.
29. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms & Conditions and bookings made with Delta Tours Egypt are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, subject to any mandatory consumer protection that applies and cannot lawfully be excluded.
The parties should first try in good faith to resolve any dispute through Delta Tours Egypt’s complaint process. If no resolution can be reached, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Egypt, unless applicable law gives the traveler a mandatory right to bring the claim elsewhere.
30. General Provisions
If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A delay or failure to enforce a right does not waive that right.
No person other than the parties to the booking has a right to enforce these terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version accepted when your booking is confirmed will normally apply to that booking, unless a later change is required by law or is expressly agreed in writing.
Acceptance of Agreement
The contract constituted by the company’s acceptance of the client’s booking, subject to these booking conditions, shall constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company. The payment of a deposit or final payment by bank transfer or credit card indicates that tour participants have read and accepted all terms and conditions and agree to abide by them
